There are a number of software programs that can help you with your bid to get your website ranked higher in the SERPS, but there is nothing better than FREE SEO tools, especially if those tools are really useful.

I work with a number of great software programs that I have bought over the years that save me time and money, but, very often there are little things that we need to do that are time – consuming and this is where my little stash of free SEO tools come in handy.

The second of my free SEO tools is the keyword-multiplier-tool. This tool will help you create a massive list of keywords.

Quite often, when I am building a keyword list, I try to use long – tail keywords. So, for example, I might want to be working on solar panels now for an AdWords campaign. This can be very expensive. The other thing is when someone types in “solar panels”, they are generally looking for information. I want to buy cheaper clicks and have people come to my site that are closer to the buying phase.

With the “solar panel” example, I might want to have
- Solar panels London
- Solar panels, Enfield
- Solar panels, Barnet
- Solar panels North London.
With the free SEO tool keyword mutliplier tool you simply add your main list of keywords
- Solar panels
- solar panel
- solar panles
Then in the next box you add the areas
- London
- Enfield
- Barnet
You can also add other variables as well. Once completed, click the “click to create keywords” button and hey presto. You will have a list of keywords that you can add straight into your adwords campaign.

Anchor text link builder is a free tool that will automate the process of generating anchor text to multipe urls.

If you are involved in any form of search engine optimisation then you need to be using anchore text. The anchor text link builder is really simple tool but very effective and will save you a ton of time. Anchor text link builder is also easy to use.

Anchor text is the highlighted text that is used to link to another wbsite. It is a good idea to use keywords as this will be picked up y the search engines whne they spider your website.

It is also important that the link goes to a relevant page on your site. Not always the front page. This is called deep linking. If you deep link to a page on your site that is very relevant to the anchor text that you use then this will also help your rankings for the given keyword.

Also, if the page where your anchor text appears is also relevant to the keyword and even better, has a high google page rank, then this will help you gain authority status and rocket your pages up the search engine rankings.

One link from another authority or high pr website is worth 20 links on a non related site or webpage.

There are loads of so called gurus and SEO Experts who make out they know all the answers but very few actually do.

All they do is try to sell you highly priced SEO re hashed courses that just over complicate the whole process.

Getting to the top of google and the other major search engines like yahoo and bing is never going to be easy and as the number of websites grow daily the competition grows with it. It does not matter if you are the number one SEO expert if you are in a competitive market it is still going to take a lot of time and effort.

However, it is not as compicated as it may first seem once you know and understand the basics.

If you offer accountancy services or sell dog food, cut hair or have a resturant then you will mainly want to increase your business locally.

Google Instant is it A Major Game Changer?

Google instant, is a major game changer, if you have used google recently then you should have noticed that not only does the search box bring up a list of the suggestions as you type but the search results also change.

I am not sure how many people are aware of how much difference this will make to the results. Google instant will have far reaching results and you can rest assured that many of us will see our search engine rankings be affected. Google say it does not alter the results but I have already seen a difference on some of my sites. Fortunately, they have all been positive.

Google Instant and SEO

Now, if you have been diligent in your SEO efforts then google instant will not hurt you. However, if you have tricked the results or bought backlinks from dubious link farms then you may well be renegaded to obscurity.

Search engine optimisation takes time and effort and there are NO short cuts, I know I have tried. Eventually I realised that try as I might the only way to do it is properly and that is the hard way.

I have a number of top ranking sites and as time goes on it gets easier to get good rankings by linking sites to each other.

In my experience it does not have to be related links to get good search engine rankings. But, a site that ranks well will help other sites rise to the top.

Google instant shows just how far advanced they are becoming and I believe this is the start of a lot of changes with the google search engine. Google do their best to put us off the scent of what they are upto yet these changes will make google instant a major game changer.

So, ignore the the signs if you dare but one thing is for sure that the future is just beginning and that the start is google instant.
